Bank security staff arrested over alleged plot to kidnap his boss in Edo
Edo State Police Command has arrested one Felix Alika, a security staff attached to Zenith Bank, Ekpoma in Esan West Local Government Area for allegedly conspiring to kidnap his manager, Raphael Ibodeme. Alika was arrested alongside an accomplice, Basiru Suleiman, following a tip-off by the third member of the gang who had a change of mind and revealed the plan to the police authorities in Ekpoma. Alika confessed to a plan to kidnap Ibodeme as payback for the alleged battles he had been having with the bank manager. Upon arrest, he claimed that the bank manager had been responsible for the series of bank robberies in the locality, an allegation the police believed to be a scheme to rope in the manager and create an escape route for himself.
