He was cheered by a crowd which gathered in anticipation of his arrival.   In the last few weeks, Kunle has taken a journey on his motorbike, nicknamed The Eagle, to create awareness and raise funds to end Polio. Update!!! Nigeria records first Monkeypox death in 2022 as cases rise to 21

Adeniji Inflex share this story on 30th of May 2022 The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says one person has died of monkeypox in Nigeria.   In a statement released, the NCDC said as of May 28, 2022, a total of 21 confirmed cases have been reported from nine states and the federal capital territory (FCT).   The states that reported cases are Adamawa (5), Lagos (4), Bayelsa (2), Delta (2), Cross River (2), FCT (2), Kano (2), Imo (1), Rivers (1).   The NCDC in its statement released said the death from the disease was of a 40-year-old patient who had underlying co-morbidity and was on immunosuppressive medications.   It added that among the 21 cases reported in 2022 so far, there has been “no evidence of any new or unusual transmission of the virus, nor changes in its clinical manifestation documented (including symptoms, profile and virulence)”.   Monkeypox is a rare viral infection that does not spread easily between people. Adeniji Inflex share this story on 30th of March 2022 The Lagos State Police Command has dismissed a panic-laced message making the rounds on social media purporting that motorcycle riders in the state have concluded plans to disrupt social and commercial activities in Lagos State from June 1, 2022 in protest of the ban on the use of motorcycles within six LGAs in Lagos State.    A statement released by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson of the state police command, says the Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, assures all Lagosians that all necessary human, material and operational resources have been deployed across the state to forestall any breakdown of law and order.    ''A carefully drafted security architecture, resulting from a detailed crime-mapping of the state has been emplaced across the length and breadth of the state. In addition, all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and tactical commanders have been placed on red alert towards any eventuality.  CP

UPDATE!! Dollar hits N600 at parallel market

  Adeniji Inflex share this story on 17th of May 2022 The dollar exchanged at N600 at the parallel market on Monday  May 16,   In Uyo, currency dealers exchanged the Naira at N595.00 and sold within the range of N596.00 and N600.00 to a dollar, while Abuja black market dealers at wuse zone 4 said the currency was exchanged at N594.00 and sold at N595.00 per $1 on Monday.   According to FMDQ, where forex is officially traded, the Naira which opened trading at N417.30 closed at N421.50 to a dollar at the close of business on Monday, May 16.   The depreciation of the local currency has heightened fears of a further devaluation of the nation’s currency. He was seen along ijoko road sango ota, ogun state around 5pm on 12th of May 2022.  According to the report we got, UCHE PAUL was from Imo state and he's just 12 years old, after some interviews we did with him, he said. He said I'm just 12 years old boy and i built this house all by myself and i live with my brother and sister here in Lagos.  When asked about what he used in building , he said , I used PVC, Carton and HW Hi-watt battery and etc When asked what he want people to do for him   he said . EDUCATION; JAMB explains why they are yet to release UTME results

Adeniji Inflex share this story on 8th of May 2022 The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has explained why they are yet to release results from the just concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.    JAMB's Registrar/Chief Executive, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede said on Tuesday May 10, that the delay is because of some internal appraisal.    Oloyede noted that JAMB won't rush to release results because it had asked people to submit reports, particularly of malpractices.   He told  Punch ;    “Yes, we have no reason not to release the results but we are also doing some internal appraisal. But the non-limited edition, and less roughed-up versions, are being sold on the Balenciaga website for $495 and $625, depending on the specific style. Pogba's deal runs out at the end of this season and it was reported that the French midfielder is a target of Manchester City.   Now a new report by The Athletic says Pogba is not going to move to City because there is an offer on the table from a different club which he prefers.   The report claims that Pogba’s representatives have informed City of this decision, although it is not being considered as their final say. Pogba, 29, joined United from Juventus for his second spell in 2016. He is attracting attention from Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid. The women revealed how most times the men don't even get to know them or ask them out on a date before sending photos of their private part. EDUCATION; ASUU strike extended till August

Adeniji Inflex share this story on 10th of May 2022 The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has extended its ongoing strike by three months.   The decision was taken during the union's   National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting which held in Abuja on Sunday May 8.    In a statement issued after the meeting, Emmanuel Osodeke, ASUU president, said the extension takes effect from Monday, May 9, 2022.   Osodeke said the extension is aimed at giving the government more time to satisfactorily resolve the issues.   He said;    “NEC was shocked that public universities have remained closed for about three months while members of the political class were busy purchasing expression of interest and nomination forms worth several millions of Naira in preparations for 2023 elections! Those in power turned their back on our degraded universities as they shuttle between Europe and America to celebrate the graduation of their children and wards from world class universities.
