However, Meta has fought back by appearing to deny that former Twitter employees worked on the creation of the app and used insider knowledge.   Mr Zuckerberg wrote on Threads at about 4pm UK time yesterday that more than 30million people had signed up to his new rival messaging app.   Then, a post on Threads by Alex Heath, editor at news website The Verge, about eight hours later at midnight last night UK time, said: 'This app has surpassed 48 million sign-ups, per

JAMB: Mmesoma manipulated her result, Anambra panel confirms

Image
Adeniji Inflex share this story on 8th of July 2023 The Anambra State Government has confirmed that Mmesoma Ejikeme manipulated her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination result, where she actually scored 249 as against 362.   In an eight-page report, the state's panel of inquiry recommended that Mmesoma immediately tender an unreserved written apology to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, the school (Anglican Girls’ Secondary School, Uruagu Nnewi), and the state government. She is also ordered to undergo psychological counselling and therapy.   Recall that an eight-member panel was set up by the state governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo to investigate the ongoing controversy between the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board and Mmesoma, whose UTME result has come under controversy, with the mandate of making its findings public.   Mmesoma, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School, Nnewi, had sat for the UTME in May and came under heavy scrutiny for parading the “h

She was well celebrated by many Nigerians including Innoson motors who immediately awarded her a N3 million scholarship.    JAMB however released a statement dismissing Mmesoma's claim. The body stated that contrary to her claim, she got 249 and not the 362 she was parading, after she forged it. The examination board went on to withdraw her score and then placed a three-year ban on her.   The Anambra State Government, last week, set up a panel of inquiry into the controversy.
