553 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Nigeria; 378 in Lagos alone   553 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Nigeria on Saturday, May 30, 2020.    According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), 378 cases were recorded in Lagos, 52 in FCT, 23 in Delta, 22 in Edo, 14 in Rivers, 13 in Ogun, 12 in Kaduna, 9 in Kano, 7 in Borno, 6 in Katsina, 5 in Jigawa, 5 in Oyo, 3 in Yobe, 3 in Plateau, and 1 in Osun State.    In total, Nigeria has now recorded 9855 cases of COVID-19 with 273 deaths, while 2856 patients have been discharged from various Isolation centers across the country.     What do you think about this  ?

Manchester City's Riyad Mahrez targeted by thieves as he loses three luxury watches in £500,000 raid at his penthouse Manchester City and Algerian winger, Riyad Mahrez, has become the latest footballer to be targeted by thieves during a £500,000 raid at his penthouse.   The £200,000-a-week midfielder, 29, was out when the raid occurred on Friday, May 29, 2020.   According to the Sun, the burglars carefully tracked Riyad Mahrez before they broke into his penthouse and got hold of a key fob to gain access.   The thieves reportedly stole £230,000 Richard Mille timepiece, a £40,000 Rolex Daytona, and a £35,000 Rolex Day-Date. They gang also stole more than £50,000 in cash, Cartier bracelets, and rare football shirts worth up to £150,000.     A Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman said of the raid on Mahrez: 'At around 5pm on Friday April 24, police were called to reports that four separate apartments had been burgled at a city centre block.'     A letter sent to residents said

Governor Dapo Abiodun slams health workers demanding salary increase, says it is irresponsible  Governor Dapo Abiodun has lashed out health workers who are demanding a salary increase amid the Coronavirus pandemic.    The Ogun state Governor who described the demand as "irresponsible", stated that he is beginning to think that the demand has a political undertone.    Governor Abiodun further stated that money is not paramount to people who are educated and also went to medical school because they are charged with "looking after people". This is coming after the Ogun state chapter of the National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners (NAGGMDP) asked Governor Dapo Abiodun to pay its members N100,000 hazard allowance. Chairman of the Association, Durojaiye Oluwatosin said the demand is to allow its members respond effectively to the Coronavirus pandemic in the state. What do you think about this  ?

YABATECH graduate arrested for blackmailing veteran singer, Salawa Abeni, with her nude photos Men of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested a 19-year-old Olufowoke Oladunjiye Emmanuel, a National Diploma holder of Yaba College of Technology, Lagos for blackmailing veteran singer, Queen Salawa Abeni with her ''nude photos''.    The police launched an investigation into the matter when the singer came online on April 1 to raise an alarm after she had a chat with the blackmailer who told her that he has her nude photos in his possession and would release them if she fails to pay him some money. Three armed robbery suspects arrested in Ogun (photo) The Ogun state police command has arrested three members of an armed robbery syndicate.    A statement from the command says the suspects were arrested on May 24 following a distress call received by the DPO Agbara division that armed robbers have invaded Idanyin community and have been raiding house to house dispossessing their victims of their belongings and inflicting injuries on them.   Upon the distress call, the DPO Agbara division SP Saleh Dahiru quickly led his anti-robbery team to the scene and met the robbers attacking the apartments of one Barrister Kamieyefa Omosivwe and that of Oluyemi Olajide.    On sighting the police, the robbers launched an attack but were overpowered by the officers. Three members of the gang were eventually arrested with one injured, while one of them escaped.   The police gave the names of the arrested members as Toheed Salami, Ibrahim Ismaila and Michael Abiodun, and stated that the injured vict
